Quantum computing podcasts offer an accessible way to keep up with this fast-moving field, whether you’re an industry expert or a curious newcomer. Below are eight of the best podcasts devoted to quantum computing and related topics like quantum communications and quantum cryptography.
The New Quantum Era Podcast
Hosts: Sebastian Hassinger (AWS Quantum business development specialist) and Kevin Rowney (tech entrepreneur/quantum enthusiast).
The New Quantum Era was launched in 2020 as a quantum study group that evolved into the podcast, with regular episodes starting in 2022. Hosts Hassinger and Rowney interview research scientists, engineers, and developers to explore cutting-edge developments in quantum computing, networking, and sensing. The show aims to make complex quantum concepts understandable to non-physicists, providing context on terminology and the history of the field.
For example, Episode 15 features Caltech theoretical physics professor John Preskill (who coined the term “NISQ”) discussing topics like black hole information paradox and quantum error correction. Another episode, Careers in Quantum with Anastasia Marchenkova, offers insights into workforce development in quantum tech.Â
With its focus on hardware breakthroughs, algorithms, and industry trends, The New Quantum Era podcast keeps listeners at the forefront of quantum news.
New episodes to check out:

Active since 2022, this fortnightly interview podcast demystifies quantum technologies. Host Yuval Boger uses his industry experience to pose probing yet approachable questions with leading researchers, engineers, or business leaders in quantum computing, sensing, or communications.
For instance, Boger has interviewed Q-CTRL founder Michael Biercuk about quantum control and error mitigation, and spoke with Catherine Vollgraff Heidweiller (Google Quantum AI product manager) on quantum benchmarking. If there’s a known name in quantum computing, he’s probably spoken to them.
Recent interviews to check out:
- Episode: Kike Miralles, investment director at Intel Capital
- Episode: Elevating Quantum Women’s Voices with Biliana Rajevic, Rachel Rayner, and Alison Goldingay

Quantum Computing Now Podcast
Hosts: Ethan Hansen (original founder, now at GE Aerospace) and, as of February 2025, Shwetha “Shway” Jayaraj (at NYIT Quantum).
Quantum Computing Now was launched in 2019, making it one of the earlier quantum computing podcasts. The podcast covers everything from news and basic concepts to interviews with experts in the field.
Ethan’s style was to discuss serious science in a not-too-serious tone (“quantum computing is rad as heck,” he quips in the podcast’s bio), and Shway continues that approachable vibe after taking over hosting duties. (Fun fact: Shway met Peter Williston Shor—of Shor’s Algorithm fame—in August 2025.)

A great episode to start with is Choose Your Own Adventure with Amir Karamlou of Google Quantum AI—a conversation about different pathways into the quantum field, recorded live at the NYU Abu Dhabi International Hackathon for Social Good.
Another highlight is Hansen’s interview with Scott Aaronson (UT Austin professor), where Ethan and Aaronson explored complexity theory, how Aaronson got into quantum computing (he originally wanted to make his own video games as a teenager), Shor’s Algorithm (future full circle moment), and other topics.
As of writing, the latest episode was recorded in August 2025, but you can catch up on recent episodes on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

Entangled Things Podcast
Hosts: Patrick Hynds (CEO and Founder of DTS and Pulsar Security) and Ciprian Jichici (Data & AI GM at Solliance).
Launched in 2021, the premise of Entangled Things is a conversation between “a quantum computing aficionado” (Ciprian) and “a security expert” (Patrick). Together, they dig into how quantum computing intersects with other fields like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and—of course—cybersecurity.
With over 130 episodes to date, Entangled Things has built a rich library of discussions on both current and future impacts of quantum tech. These include conversations on the advancements and challenges in quantum materials discovery with Scott Genin, Vice President of Materials Discovery at OTI Lumionics (Episode 126); and chat about quantum events and bridging the knowledge gap with Laurence Coldicott, curator of the Quantum.Tech series of events (Episode 125).
Recent episodes to check out:
- Episode 130: Navigating the quantum security landscape with Rich Campagna from Palo Alto Networks
- Episode 129: Tony Cubitt (co-founder & CTO of Phasecraft) on opportunities and challenges
- Episode 128: Murray Thom (VP Quantum Evangelism at D-Wave) on unlocking the future

The Quantum Spin Podcast
Host: Veronica Combs – a technology editor and PR professional at HKA Marketing Communications who specializes in quantum tech.
Launched in 2023, The Quantum Spin explores the intersection of quantum technology and marketing communication strategies. In each episode, Combs interviews industry experts with an eye on how quantum companies convey their message, educate the public, or build a business strategy around complex tech.Â
The Quantum Spin is a refreshing break from the technical deep-dives, instead tackling questions like how do we talk about quantum? and how can businesses harness quantum hype responsibly? Notable episodes include a conversation with Dr. Robert Sutor (author of Dancing With Qubits and former VP at Infleqtion and IBM) (Episode 38); an interview with Farai Mazhandu (Executive Director at the Africa Quantum Consortium) on building a quantum community across Africa (Episode 37); and another with researcher Joel Hutchinson on science communication and quantum education (Episode 29).
The Quantum Spin is carving out a following among quantum startup founders, communicators, and anyone interested in how to bridge the gap between lab and public.
Recent episodes to check out:
- Episode 41: Building a quantum data center with Palacios Berraquero, founder and CEO of Nu Quantum.
- Episode 39: US-China relations and becoming quantum-first by 2030 with Leland Miller and Mike Kuiken, members of the U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission.

The Post-Quantum World Podcast
Host: Konstantinos Karagiannis, Senior Director of Quantum Computing Services at Protiviti
Consulting giant Protiviti began The Post-Quantum World as a bi-weekly series in 2021. Now over 110 episodes in, this podcast centers on quantum computing’s business implications and cybersecurity “post-quantum” preparedness.
A good entry point is Episode 118 featuring Tal David, co-founder and CEO of Quantum Art. The discussion focuses on real-world quantum optimization, using traffic flow and mobility systems as a case study. Another episode features Vanesa DĂaz, co-founder and CTO of LuxQuanta (Episode 117). That conversation examines the viability of quantum key distribution, its deployment challenges, and security trade-offs.
Guests are operators, builders, and security leaders rather than just theorists, making The Post-Quantum World especially useful for executives, consultants, and security architects responsible for long-term technology risk and quantum readiness planning.
